Then there’s the multiple puppies being bred for something..sad and sickening! I wish I could share the photos as I have the proof
We adopted a puppy from the Lincoln County Animal Shelter one week ago and this little one is amazing. We can tell that she received the best quality of care there. She had to have been played with, worked with and she must have been given an immeasurable amount of love. She fit nicely into our home!
Have called twice about the poor dog living his life tied to tree with no shelter. Apparently being a small town either someone knows them or sadly they just don’t care. These people have a dog tied to a tree in front but at least he has a plastic dog house, a dog in the back fenced yard but also chained to a tree but he has a big wooden house then this poor dog tied to a tree he had nothing but now he has a plastic blue barrel and a piece of plywood! WOW! What a life.
Our last two family dogs have come from this shelter. They have each been well-loved and well-cared-for there. The staff and the volunteers work very hard to keep all the critters in their care healthy and happy. The location is on the highway we travel into Fayetteville so we often catch glimpses of staff and volunteers at work. I even found the "perfect dog" there for a friend of mine in Giles County. (Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are usually more settled and less likely to chew any valuables!)
The Fayetteville Animal Shelter is great! They work hard to offer a good variety of adoptable pets to the community and also take care of those animals that are unfortunately 'dropped off' and needing a home. They also take pride in ensuring that all animals are spayed/neutered, or include a certificate if being adopted.
I most give kudos to Denise and her staff for addressing all my questions regarding the Pitbull we adopted. They were very knowledgeable about the breed and the dogs behavior. Our community is blessed to have people with a true desire to keep animals safe and healthy!
